Exotic instruments used in this album are Persian Santour and Persian Bamboo Flute "Ney" Persian Santour is a trapezoid shaped wooden box made of aged walnut with 72 strings passing from one end to the other over small bridges. The strings are hit by two thin hardwood mallets. This instrument is the Great Grandfather of Piano. Ney is the Persian classical flute made of bamboo, consisting of a simple pipe with six holes. A Ney player plays with the "lips and teeth" the Persian technique which is very difficult to master.
