The Story Behind This SongPeddler Compilation CD
Hope, Inspiration, and Unity seemed to be the magic words after the tragic events that occurred in New York on September 11, 2001. SongPeddler was just beginning to launch its services to assist songwriters, composers, and independent artists with producing, promoting, and distributing their music. As events unfolded, it only made sense for us to request song submissions that addressed these themes. We believe people are ready for more hope and inspiration, and what better way to encourage this than through music?
After hearing "One Earth One Sky," the idea emerged to weave together songs that provided hope and inspiration and then focused on the next step - unity and building community. This eclectic collection of wonderfully diverse songs fulfills that intention. Visuals for this CD are tailored to the lyrical content of "One Earth One Sky," and we decided to open the CD with the unity focus and then come full circle to close with the unity theme again at the end of the collection. We're very excited to feature this diverse group of songwriters/composers. For some, this will be the first opportunity to share their music on a released CD. To create your own custom CD collections of your favorites, see our website. Although many wonderful songs that were submitted couldn't be included on this CD, they can be sampled online. This CD is just one collection, and we encourage you to create your own mix of favorites by visiting www.songpeddler.com.
