Liner Notes

The Didgeridoo is played with the greatest respect for the Australian aboriginal peoples and in the spirit of all the First Nation peoples and our common relationship to the Earth.

"Mabo" refers to a recent case brought before the Australian High Court by a community of Aborigines from Murray Island in the Torres Strait. They disputed the legal precedent on which Australia was founded - that the continent was Terra Nullius (unowned land) when claimed by Britain in 1788. They won; a historic victory that opens up the entire question of Indigenous Peoples' rights worldwide.

A percentage of the proceeds from this recording will be donated to benefit aboriginal communities in Australia.

Music without words means leaving behind the mind. And leaving behind the mind is meditation.
Meditation returns you to the source. And the source of all is sound. — Kabir
