Next Generation

It’s a sad situation, about the next generation, fear is sweeping ‘cross this nation
And it’s time for explanations, cause it’s the next generation, yes the next generation
To make some changes around here.
Time has come, to listen to our young about their trials and tribulations
Hear their truth, the fate of this modern youth, trying to survive while searching for directions
They take the heat for life out on the streets, and struggle in a world of segregation.
We judge their looks by the words in out little black books
Blind to those who abuse them in the name of their salvation.
It’s a sad situation for the next generation, in this hour of great frustration, there’s no time for hesitation.
Cause it’s the next generation, I said the next generation, to make some changes around here.
Our works not done, time has come, we must prepare the one’s who will carry on.
It’s not too late, can you relate, for us make, a safer place, for the coming dawn.
Realize, open up your eyes, we must find a better way, if we are to survive.
It’s the next generation, to mend this sad situation, there’s no time for hesitation, time to pray for our relations
