    Calypso Influenced Music     is a musical product of the Carribean islands of Trinidad and Tobago, derived from African and West Indian Folk music. Typically associated with the distinctive sound of steel drum, Calypso music relies on poly-rhythms and is carnival music, meant for dancing. The lyrics in vocal songs are generally upbeat and humorous, sung over duple-meter rhythms with syncopated accompaniments.
