Named after a town in northern Greece, Edessa plays passionate, high-energy dance music that is contemporary yet timeless—from an area that has been a cultural crossroads for centuries.

    Near East Far West members are Souren Baronian, Haig Manoukian, Lise Liepman, Dan Auvil, George Chittenden, and Polly Tapia Ferber. Their original and tradtional instrumental music spans Middle Eastern, Persian, Jazz, Armenian, Turkish, Bulgarian, and Rom genre influences.
