In this category you'll find songs that are tributes to mothers and grandmothers or have mention of them in the lyrical content. All in all, women's music will include a variety of genres, moods, themes, and artists focusing on what matters to women at all levels. There was a movement in the 1970's of women's music that began with a group of women singer/songwriters and the first woman-focused record labels including Olivia Records.
